Reading a comparison
Two elements in the same group usually look alike on most rows and differ mainly in size: the one lower down has more shells, so it is bigger, less electronegative and easier to ionise. Two elements in the same period tend to share a size bracket but pull apart on electronegativity and ionisation energy as you move right.
A blank row means nobody has published a measurement for that property, which happens often with the synthetic elements at the bottom of the table. Nothing is filled in with a guess.
